Outreach and Education

The following grants, usually of a one-time nature, support projects that lie outside traditional program guidelines, but ones which the Fund believes support and advance overall progress toward sustainable development. The Fund welcomes innovative, inter-disciplinary, and cross-cutting proposals of global significance which work to engage diverse constituencies, increase public awareness, encourage international cooperation and collaboration, and/or strengthen capacity within institutions.

Building on past support for the Forgotten Pollinators Campaign, this grant supports a workshop to update and refine the economic value of alternative pollinator populations for US agriculture.

Consultative Group on Biological Diversity (CGBD) - $8,000 over two years

General operating support. The CGBD works to create partnerships between funders to strategically address the challenges of accelerated natural resource degradation and its increasing threat to global biodiversity.
